some of them make me smile
Big Pink Warning Flash -
YOU DON'T MEET JANNYPIE'S REQUIREMENTS:
You must be at least 27 years old.
...Yeah, that I am not. I'm still working on that flux capacitor, give me a few months.
Anyway, you popped up in my recent activity list despite not living near me (seriously, that thing shows users from friggin' Chicago), and after checking out your profile, I just really felt compelled to tell you how unbelievably awesome you are (which I'm sure you already know, but still). Smart, beautiful, witty (your diagrammed photo was hilarious - and very cute), great taste in everything (esp. movies)...yeah, you just rock.
Anyway, thanks for reading and good luck on here!

about art
this is an excerpt from something i emailed, and i want to save it and come back to it later to think through.
on experimental art. Mine isn't as "experimental" in the sense that you mean it, really pushing limits and expectations of abstract thought, because really everything that I do is at a fairly basic level, but it is in the sense that I personally don't know what will happen, and I like combining processes to see what will happen. I am passionate about community, and for me, feeling something that I make is successful definitely has a component of use or value to other people. That makes it hurt more if something that I love isn't appreciated by others, but it also makes it that much more of a boost when I know something that I made is being used by someone else. I feel a sense of connection through it, and it makes me feel more alive. Not that I go out and try to make things that will be mass-consumed, by any means. Quite the opposite, I reject that on a fundamental character level. Which is why I am not very successful yet. I want to make things that speak to people on a community level, but I cannot sit and just mindlessly manufacture things that appeal to mass consumers. I have friends who do that, and are way more successful, but there is absolutely no art in it at all, or what tiny bit they bring to it quickly becomes diluted in the sheer number of replications they make from it.
For example, I created a series of Columbus skyline images that took many many hours, and I love them because I love Columbus and I believe in community and civic pride. And introducing them to people at shows was a high unlike I can describe last year. But now that it is created, all I have to do is order more prints of the same images, and I've totally lost my appreciation for the experience. So I tend to drop those projects, even though they could be way more successful and I could still grow them. That's just an example.
At the moment, I feel very drained from life, and can't remember what it is that I was aspiring to. I know that there was something. And I could see it very clearly. And it was exciting and achievable and meaningful to me. But I go through spots where my mind gets cloudy and I forget, and then I get off track, and by the time I remember, it's too late, or doesn't seem as good an idea, or achievable, or like it will actually make me happy. That's where I am now.

This person's profile is listed as a non-smoker, non-drinker, Christian and very serious about it.
Yes, because my going out is the big issue here.
Ouch
Jan. 5, 2011 – 10:47amYou seem so much of a handful of what I desire. Too bad you party alot and are agnostic. If you ever feel a change of pace to relax hit me up. You still would've been perfect for me just 5 years ago.

Dec. 4, 2010 – 12:32amSo do your adoring worshippers wear matching robes/jump suites or is the dress code pretty loose? Personally I had to let alot of my minions go due to the economy.30% Enemy61% Friend47% Match
Dec. 4, 2010 – 2:44pmThink more along "loincloths, togas and fanning me with palm fronds". A nice white sheet is acceptable.
Dec. 4, 2010 – 4:14pmThat doesn't sound very good for all seasons. I like to have something that they could wear all year long. As for the white sheet are your followers ghosts?
Dec. 5, 2010 – 8:22pmNo, the white sheet is for the ones who can't spring for a real toga.
Dec. 6, 2010 – 9:37amMaybe you should rethink your dress code, togas are so B.C. We live in Ohio not a tropical island vaolcanoe lair. I am sure they complain.
Dec. 7, 2010 – 9:59amadoring worshippers do not complain

silly introverts
"If you don't know what an Introvert is thinking or feeling, "It's because you haven't asked...checked in." And when Introverts say something, listen closely. They may look "quiet," but they're communicating-processing inside constantly. So they say what they mean...because they've given it a lot of thought. "
"I am an introvert who has learned that to be successful, I must master the social skills."
I hate the phone because I am an introvert.
"Yes, I’m an introvert with super high social skills, but an introvert, none-the-less.

I hate the phone because I am an introvert.
"I’m an introvert. Go ahead. Debate me on it. Most don’t believe me. But it’s true. When I was a kid, my mom used to make me call to order pizza because I was so terrified of the phone (for those of you who call me, you’ll understand I’m still terrified)."
"Yes, I’m an introvert with super high social skills, but an introvert, none-the-less.
So what does that mean? It means that I can go and go and go, but when I’ve run out of adrenaline, I’ve run out and I have to go into my cave."
I never have visitors because I am an introvert.
"I literally tell my friends (and family) to NEVER show up on my doorstep without calling me first. My home is my safe place.... I don't get all buddy buddy with my neighbors anyway. If I get all buddy buddy, I'll lose my safe place."

Juggle these thoughts, the every day life
Living in joy, or the struggle and strife
Consider the options, make your choice
Decide to be silent or raise your voice
Bouncing in rhythms we move through the yard
Ready to fight, or to let down your guard
Alone in the world
A world without sound
Determine your fate
By standing your ground
Having a vision, setting your goals
Speaking in volumes of truths to be told
Freeing your passion, freeing your soul
Of what kept you captive, made you lose control
I know a place
Where we can go
Your porcelain face
And this heart of stone
Consider the options, make your choice
Decide to be silent or raise your voice
Bouncing in rhythms we move through the yard
Ready to fight, or to let down your guard
